Summer block party
Maybe you got an invitation from us and are wondering, what’s this all about?
It’s pretty simple: Jesus told his followers, “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31), and while that’s not just limited to the people next door, we’re pretty sure that’s a good place to start. We’d like to bless our neighbors, so we’re hosting a block party and inviting everyone to come and celebrate the arrival of summer with us!
There’s no program or agenda besides getting to know each other and having a good time together. Sometimes it can be difficult meet the people next door beyond waving to them from behind the snowblower or lawnmower, but this is a great opportunity to do so. Whether you’ve lived in the neighborhood for 20 years or just moved in last week, we’d love to meet you! Here’s what you can expect:
- FREE FOOD (DON’T MISS THE PIG ROAST!)
- YARD GAMES
- FACE PAINTING
- AND MORE!
There is no charge and all are invited. We’ll be out in the front lawn and lower parking lot, but if it rains we’ll just move the party into the church building.
Hope to see you all there!
